Many new mothers (or mothers to be!) can find it hard to cope with motherhood. Don't feel this way!
Coaching is not help or advice and is not intended to replace any medical advice that you are given concerning your own health or that of your child. Maternity Coaching can offer a new perspective, a fresh insight and a realisation that you can have the life you want whilst being a parent. Maternity Coaching supports you and offers you a safe environment in which to focus on your goals, establish your own needs and put a plan in place to make this a reality.
Q Do I need to live in Dublin to be coached?
Not at all, although coaching can be done face to face, telephone coaching can work just as effectively and is an ideal way to coach busy mothers.
Q Maternity coaching sounds a bit like therapy. I’m not sure I really need that kind of help!
Coaching is not therapy, it is a dynamic forward focused intervention aimed at moving people towards their own ideal state using their own goals and aspirations. It is very action orientated.
Coaching differs from therapy in many ways. Coaching focuses on the present and where you want to go from here (forward facing). Therapy focuses more on the past and how you got to be where you are currently (looking back).
Q I am not a first time mother, can I really learn anything through maternity coaching?
Absolutely! Maternity Coaching will help you focus on what you really want going forward and how to live your new life as a busy mother to your own agenda not that of others. |
